I Spotted this toy boat while at Walgreens, and though normally any1 over the age of say.... 10, would instantly glance over it seeing as it's a pretty cheapy lookin' toy,
>But I saw some underlying potential for a couple possible RC projects this lil' guy could be implemented for! (and if anything I'd at least have a ducted fan to tinker with :D ) And thought I at least should post this for all the RC Boat enthusiasts on here, possible Ducted prop for those of us who just can't seem to get our head outta' tha clouds , and for those of us that... even when back on the ground__still think about things like hovercrafts and whatnot :)
1st & most obvious idea:
This thing is just BEGGING for an RC conversion! the firmly mountable
'onboard' motor swivels VERY nicely from side<2>side while it can also
tilt up above water level & back down to an angle which looks as if it
would downthrust a bit (possibly some small compensation for the motor's
weight- while still keeping the nose a little higher while speeding away)
= WOULD BE EXTREMELY EASY TO ADD AN RX, SERVO, BATT,& MOTOR CTR
& 2nd:
Besides the motor assembly which could at least be used as a spare motor, but definitely for it's little plastic duct'd fan.......
I also took some pics of the inflated part slid apart from the cheezy plastic boat platform because I want some opinions on whether or not it would make a damn good HOVERCRAFT SKIRT!! I think it would, just a matter of putting 1 more small side on it and the usual shape for one is already there!
SOO0oooo...... I'm leaning towards the HOVERCRAFT idea-->which could Be almost instantly completed with an Aero Ace setup, but I brobably could use some of my many strewn about bit car rx's to save the AA for a more 'airborn' application.
