I have came across a pressure sensor called SPX 3058D. Does anybody know who is the manufacturer? I am looking for a datasheet but can not find one.

The price for this item is very nice.... 1.6 USD/piece

That is probably a Motorola (now Freescale) MPX sensor with a custom package for some OEM. The data sheets for the MPX sensors state that custom packaged OEM versions will have a part number SPX followed by 4 digits. I doubt you will find a data sheet unless the surplus vendor provides one.

TOMSKK,
where did you find this sensor ? I payed 15$ for the MPX one ?
Is the output a proportional Voltage ?

I found it in Europe - Germany. Just ordered the last 150 pieces. I hope i get in a couple of days, so that I can tell you more.

There is no datasheet with the shipment, just pin out.

Any ideas how to find the correct measurement values? I am trying to build a data logger for speed, altitude and jet turbine pressure.

Probably the only way would be experimentally. Most likely these are the millivolt output parts which will require an op amp and probably temperature compensation. The more expensive parts have integrated amplifier, temperature compensation, output voltages of 0-5 volts, and are much easier to use.

Maybe a call / e-mail to Motorola may help identify who the OEM part was made for, and what the specifications (pin outs and voltages) are.

Might be worth a try, but usually, companies won't give out information about custom OEM parts. It is considered proprietary between the manufacturer and the OEM customer.
