While i was searching on the net the other day i found this strange looking vtol and i thought it could work well as a little rc model but it would have a bit of drag depending on how u make it :rolleyes:
I'll try to upload some pictures for u fellow vtol modelers:D

wow look like a VTOL / autogyro! cool, would be verry good a short take and landings, have knoe idea but they look like concept pics

yea wow is the word:D i thought the same wen i first saw them.. then i thought it could make a pretty niffty rc model.:D Wen i get enough money i will try to build an electric one...

It looks somewhat like a Fairy Rotodyne, a British design from the fifties.
This had I think rotor tip reaction rockets, (hydrogen peroxide i think) to spin the rotor up and it would then transition to forward flight, and the rotor would then transform to autogyro mode.

A while ago I saw some pictures in Flight International magazine, in a story about a new STOL heavy lifter for the US Army. There was a proposal by Groen Brothers (the autogyro designers) that looked a lot like this. They proposed puting a rotor on a C130 Hercules! Wow!!

Yep , it looks like a modern day version of the Fairy Rotodyne
Would be fun to try ..but you would have to be careful with all those props :eek: :D
