I liked my 1st so much I had to order another. This time i built it w all the mods. Took apart the gear box turned the bearings around, put better brass washers ,got rid of those crank arm retainers and put some lock washers by Great planes. Of course put a feiago brushless,a gws rx,tower pro esc, etec 2c 300m mah lipo, and the 2 blue arrow servos. Both servo arms are pointing up now(stripped a servo on my old one yesterday when it slid across the grass so i decided to change that) This version was a little different in the fact its fiberglass, and the tail mounts are 2 pieces instead of 4. The rx has the tail mixer built in but i couldnt get it to work right so i switched to a gws,the crystal from the blue arrow rx works in the gws one!!! Also the manual says to give the wings some lift by bending them, i never had to do that but you might. wingbird Will fully maiden it when it stops raining!!! Sorry movie is not that good,my friend didnt know what he was doing!!! But you can get an idea,my p2's battery died 100ft up and it spiraled down, need to repair,i have the parts!!!!

Thank for the detailed Photos Helifann .
Where did you find " bnutts "?
The friction of these ' " bnutts " on the axes of 1.5 mm is it sufficient in flight?

I got an extra set of brasswashers from a vendor that sells the wingbird. I swapped out the thinner ones for thicker ones. Gonna see how long they last before i replace w bearings. On my first wingbird(i still have and fly)these replacements are still holding up and the mods working!!!

Oh bought those from the hobbyshop The are GREATPLANES permanant retainers for pushrods,i got 10 in a pack, and those are steel!!! My pin that holds on the crank rods on my bird had a small grind mark to hold the other retainer in place which helps these lock tight on and not slip off!!!

I just had a very long successful flight w an etec 7.4 450 mah lipo. It is slightly heavier but gives you longer flight time. So as of now the etec 7.4 300mah lipo and the 7.4 450 mah work great on this bird!!!
