I've done a brief search for mapping here and turned up little. I know that you guys will have some helpful insight into this.

I am building a GPS telemetry system so that I can track an R/C aircraft in flight. A key to this will be the mapping software.

Currently I am using Topofusion and wonder if anyone else has experience with this or can recommend other software?

I like that Topofusion downloads USGS maps and photos from the internet as needed and can store them for offline use. The maps can be a bit dated though, but at least we know that pretty much all of the US maps are available nearly instantly. Would be a very helpful thing if in the field to use my cell modem to obtain maps as I need them.

As usual, thanks in advance for the help and feedback!

I use Topofusion to replay my flight. I bounce between it and Expert GPS. It really depends on what you want to do.

I have used Ui-view and TT3 for tracking. ARPS works pretty good and save alot of weight by using the audio channel of the av tx.
