I want to make a non prop actuator. Basically I would like it operate the rudder, and elevator of my micro plane but with no proportion. I have made two actuators, thanks to this forum, and would like to just turn fully left right and go up down. Simple is good enough for me when theres little to no money.

Perhaps I'm missing something but an actuator is just a coil of fine wire and a small magnet. You're going to have a lot of trouble finding anything much simpler than that ;).

how about useing mucle wire with a pot on the control surface

If you've got a PIC: take two output lines and run them to the actuator. If you wish to turn one way, make pin 1 high and pin 2 low. If you wish to turn the other way, make pin 1 low and pin 2 high. If you want to go straight, keep both pins low.

I have the coils in place and the magnets on the flaps. I need a simple driver to operate it. I dont have a PIC as far as I know. I wouldn't mind using a servo amp board but I get a flutter when applying power. Useing an SAB makes it proportional.

I dont know much about Muscle Wire and again I really dont have money. When I do I will invest money into a JMP or such electronics.
