Hey,
Im new to DIY electronics but i know a little bit. I have taken apart a futaba s3003 servo and removed the circuit board from the servo and the motor from the board. I sort of know how these servos work and noticed when the potentiometer is set just off centre and you hook the board into an auxillary channel which is controlled by a switch on your radio, you can get the current to run interupted in one direction or another. You can get the output power which is usually going to the motor to set off a relay with a rectifying diode so the relay activates when the switch is in only one position. But i cant find any relays that will work at a voltage that is available (4.8-6volts).

I did see a similair version of my idea being used which involved the same thing except the wires for the potentiometer were connected to the three servo wires while the output for the motor went straight into the camera without any relay to isolate the servo circuit from the camera. Could i use my idea without any relay and expect it to work?

I hope what im saying makes sense

Thanks in advance

I don't think you can hook the wires from the servo's motor straight to the camera. You could damage the camera or fire some chips. Relay is a best bet. How about this:
