Hi! Great to see a Japanese section on RcGroups!
But need to study 'kanji'!!!! :(
I have been living in sunny Kagoshima for some 14 years and have been enjoying flying and building the last few years after a long absence from this great hobby. (Electrics really got me back into it).
Anyway, have searched the net in Japan for ordering balsa on-line but have not found anywhere I can order. I love building and the closest hobby shop is a 30 minute drive so I want to order balsa.
Does anyone know of a site?
Thanks and 'yoroshiku'

PS A link to a photo of my beautiful flying site! (Notice Mt Sakurajima in the background.) There is also a video of a Stevens Aero Cap 40e too.

Nice Stevens Aero Cap 40! I did not know any flying in Japan. Did you import the kit? I have small G300 kit waiting to be built...

I can think of this ROSA web shop. They are specialized in air plane building materials.

In many case, you can find various balsa at 'Home center' DIY shops nearby. Try wood section of those shop.

#I have a mail friend Kawanabe-san in Kagoshima. He is building lots of electric planes.

Hi Satoru! Thanks for the reply. The wood on ROSA website looks very nice and BIG sheets but is a bit too expensive for what I need it for.
The Cap I imported but only the wing, cowl, canopy. The fuse I build from scratch. This way I could save about 80 dollars on importing the whole kit.
My other stuff I get from your friends at Aircraft World. ;)

Kawanabe-san has built some nice planes! I wonder where he flies? I usually fly by myself as the clubs around here seem to mostly fly IC planes etc. Do you think he would mind if I sent him an e-mail?

I see you around on RCGroups quite a bit and you contribute a lot! Must be time consuming writing so much in English. Thanks

Hi Graeme,

Thank you for your kind word. I am hoping I can give it back what I got here.

Let me look around more for shop that sells balsa. Yes, please try to contact Kawanabe-san. (I do not think he understand English.) I will ask you might be contacting.

Satoru, I found this place http://www.lemon.co.jp/newmokei/mokei_g1.html and ordered some balsa. They seem reasonable. Thanks for looking around for me.
I will ask my wife to type an e-mail to Kawanabe-san (she's Japanese). I can speak Japanese , just haven't studied kanji! Have to one day........

Are there any RC fields or Hobby Shops near Kokubu or Kagoshima? I go there sometimes and would be fun to check out some of the local places.
