I am considering buying a Spirit 100. When reading the reviews and looking at the assembly stuff, I noted that the rudder and elevator pushrods are quite long... Has anyone had any experience with flex or bending problems with these pushrods? Has anyone tried putting the servos in the tail assembly area? Or is there even room for that? Would appreciate any comments.

That would add too much weight to teh tail..needing more nose weight..i might use CF for my push rods when i get my kit tomorrow

THanks for the quick post... It appears that there is a "z" bend in the rudder pushrod... but CF is a great thought... I am just in the middle of placing my order with TH... is that where you got yours?

I am about 300 miles south of you in Deep Southern Illinois... not a decent hobby shop within 100 miles... (St. Louis).. so all of mine has to be mail order... drat... used to be some good shops in the area all gone now...

I use them in 2 to 3 meter sailplanes.

You want to keep the tail as light as possible! If you have ARF then replace the metal pushrods with Sullivan CF pushrods I did this to my ARF works awesome! I have not had any flexing or bending of the pushrods.

Very nice installation... I believe that you did not select the spoiler option... Do you have any trouble getting it back down? Are you using "crow" or some other combination?

I am not using the spoiler option when the flaps are full down it just trundells along at a nice descent angle! If I use crow it comes down like a brick in slow motion. the spoilers are overkill :D not worth the extra weight or hassle.
