Aspire tow hook

Anyone familiar with the tow hook that comes with the Aspire? It appears to be a nylon or plastic of some sort. The question is, would it be sturdy enough for a 3M ship?

I don't know the hook or model you refer to. Could you put the hook in a scanner and post the picture?
If you've not done it before, resolution of 75dpi and 100% will do it. Colour or B&W.

Having also looked up the design, there seems to be no reason for you to worry about the combination. If the model was one of the glass type models you could possibly overstress the hook with sub-10 second towline launches, but yours is not really for that. A bungee would also give a more gentle launch.
I like the hook as it's got some adjustability built in to it.

The models very attractive too - sounds good to me!

If you go for something more substantial in the future, I'd copy the hook you have but make it in brass witha steel hook brazed in, but retaining the adjusting slots.
