Laid back TD and HLG contest in Eastern NC

The Down East Soaring Society in Wilson, NC is hosting a contest on April 22-23, 2006. We will fly Open Class TD, 2-meter TD, and HLG TD classes. Entry fee including a light lunch will be $30.

Tasks will be determined somewhat by weather conditions and announced at the pilot's meeting, but be prepared for something different! Our Contest Director Brady Baggs has some events up his sleeve that will make for an interesting weekend of flying.

A nice aspect of this contest is the format. You will be scored on 10 tasks, which can be flown on Saturday or Sunday, or both. So if you can only make it one day, no problem!

We aren't expecting a huge crowd, so there isn't any elaborate pre-reg. If you could, post here or PM me and let us know if you are coming or have questions.

This is a quote from an e-mail I received from Brady, He couldn't get logged in to respond himself.

Leon,
The plan is to fly all 3 events at the same time.

In other words there will be 10 tasks for Open Class. 10 for 2 meter and 10 for hand launch .The task can be flown any time during the 2 days of the contest.

There will be no rounds and no time clock. It will be up to you to decide what and when you want to fly. To make it even more interesting you can enter any plane in any class but only enter all 3 classes once.

Example:
If you fly HLG in all 3 there will be bonus points added to your score
If you fly Open Class in all 3 there will be points subtracted from your score.
If you fly 2-meter in all 3 there will be no change to your score.

This contest is my attempted to bring TD and HLG together there will be a lot of flying for everybody.
