I have been using a rubber band mount on my Nippy... the original O-ring held on the best, but it eventualy broke after a few hours of flight... and ive gone through many rubber bands and lost 2 props mid air since... I am curious if I should risk it and just use a hard prop mount? my motor is close to the ground on a Unicorn... when it lands and its a BIG prop.... I do not mind breaking the prop, I might as well break it instead of losing it, and have it damage my wing as it flies off (lots of prop gashes on trailing edge)... but I worry about the motor being damaged, or bent... I already ordred a hard mount from HL with replacement props ... and waiting for it to arrive now... thank god for the free shipping right when I needed it ;) hehe.

Also my prop rarely stops spinning, even with break on, with the jeti 30A esc I am using... so that just makes it worse landing.... Guess I will have to try to catch it more often... maybe add a landing skid ;)

Are you talking about a prop saver? If you are, number 13 O rings at Home Depot work great.
