I have Aerofly Pro with the lastest updates and I was running fine with an Nvidia Geforce 5600 with 256Mb ram.
I have just bought and updated the video card in my computer with a Nvidia Geforce 6800 128Mb ram.
The problem is the software no longer loads, after clicking on the Aerofly Icon the splash screen comes up and then goes away and that is all. it does not go into the program.
I have UN-installed and reistalled aerofly pro and still have the same results.
It can install my old video card and it runs, but not with the new card.
I have updated video drivers / Direct X / OS and still no luck
any ideas on what else to try?
The Nvidia 6800 is better then the 5600 so I wonder why It will not run

I have nVidia FX6800 too and it runs AFPD beautifully!
Either you are experiencing some veird OpenGL problem or our Windows became unstable. Oh, you've just said that you've re-installed the OS, so, Windows is probably out of questions...
Try searching for alternative video drivers. There are some alternative 3rd party drivers for nVideo chips, which may be different from the oficial ones.
Good luck,
Boris

I am using the Nvidia 6800 series card 128MB (card was $299 last year)
The OS is windows XP Pro Lastest patches (with 1.3GB system memory)
The Lastest DirectX drivers (www.microsoft.com)
The Lastes Nvidia drives (www.nvidia.com)
I am really bummed it isn't working, and it worked fine with my older video card 5600 series. Other software I have installed works fine and so does Real Flight G2.

I tried this also, I tried using the native VGA driver in win XP, and it still did the same thing. the splash screen comes up, then it just dissappears like it should, but the main program never comes up.
Works fine with old video card...

You might try reinstalling the Nvidia driver after first deleting the current drivers. Some times parts of one driver set get mixed up with parts of the old driver set. Good luck.

When I tried version 81.98, OpenGL did not work properly and I ended up having to use an earlier driver version.

You mentioned that G2 works. Is that an OpenGL product?
Anyway, I had the same thing happen to my set up, I actually was running an nvidia 5700LE, The drivers got corrupted after I tried to do an update (without uninstalling the previous drivers). I kept uninstalling and reinstalling AFPD and the nvidia drivers.
The situation became unfixable so I ended up doing a complete reinstall of Windows XP Pro. All the way from Scratch and installed the latest nvidia drivers right away 81.98.
That was the only thing that worked for me.

Nvidia released the new 84.21 drivers on 3/17.....you might give them a try. Although the only thing that was really changed was better support for the new 7900 series gpus and WHQL certified.

ClearView uses OpenGL. I would be interested to know if it works on your computer.
Thanks,
Stefan
