Anyone flying sailplanes in Boise, ID?

Anyone flying sailplanes in Boise, ID? I have seen a couple of clubs listed in Boise, but seem to be only power flyers. Is there much activity in either TD and/or electric sailplanes?
I have applied for a new job there and am curious as to where all the sailplanes are.

Wow, I thought TD was flown most everywhere. Guess I will reconsider my move to Boise. Too bad, its a wonderful place for so many reasons

No, never did hear of anyone flying TD in Boise. Didn't get the job offer so didn't have to turn it down! :) I have heard the fishing is great there, so it would have been a tough call.

I must have missed this post when it was first written. Sorry you did not get the job - but for anyone else in the Boise ID area that loves sailplanes - Yes.

Been flying sailplanes since 98 in the Boise area. Started off strictly as a slope flyer but now fly a lot of my planes off high starts for both excercise and fun.

Currently thermal out Airtronics Legend and Sagitta 900 kits that I built. I even still thermal my first plane, the 2M Sig Riser and a handlauch.

Anyway, I slope these same planes along with other more slope oriented planes at least monthly. I spend more time thermalling in the late fall through spring since the slope wind is freezing. Also know a fairly tight group of locals that seem to meet up here and there as well as for events in the NW. (No official events for gliders locally that I know of which needs to change sometime soon).
