Not that I go along with reviews in magazines, but the one I just read
seemed pretty fair. It gave the Warhead bad marks. Durability was
horrible. Its in a current issue. I think is the March issue of Xtreme
RC Cars.

Yea this is usually the case when you go for the less known brands - they
don't stand up the beatings like those you can throw at a Savage/Revo/LST2.

Good thing you put "usuallly" in there cause Traxxas and Losi have been
the makers of the 2 worst vehicles I have ever owned. While the Duratrax
vehicle I own has been the best, most durable.

Do you have any expirience with electric trucks? Is your heart set on a
nitro?

No. It means the posters dont know yet.
You need to find a forum that has warhead owners and read what issues
that it may have from them. One place to look is RCCA boards.
You really cant go by mag reviews. Hell MLST got a 9 out of10 in quality
of fit and finish yet it has lots of slop. Rated high on durabilty yet
you sneezes at it and a knuckle will break not to mention the paper
gears.

I've owned several Duratrax vehicles (Thunder Quake, Axis, Nitro Quake)
and haven't been impressed with any of them. IMO, the quality is not up
to the same level as Traxxas and HPI. My friend had great luck with his
Savage (original version with the pull start).
The most durable truck I've had is the REVO, but tuning it was a bear.
I ended up changing the engine to an OS. The new 3.3 is out, but I
haven't heard anything good or bad as of yet. It's expensive, tho.
If you can swing it, go for a truggy. They are much more durable and
nimble than a monster truck.
Good luck
Brian

I dunno, I'd say a truggy wasn't gonna be as tough as a proper MT really.
As for the new 3.3, I've heard a few stories about them throwing rods...

I'm a big fan of the Revo actually, I wouldn't mind having a go with a 3.3.
Seen a vid of one, and it didn't half shift.
