FMS interface

G'day
i just build some cables for freinds using this method

and they seem to work four about 10 seconds then stop if you unplug them replug them they will begin to work again, any ideas why?

What operating system are you running, and are you using PPJOY ?

Important Interface Notes: This cable is not supported by default in Windows 2000 or Windows XP. However Deon van der Westhuysen has created a program called PPJOY for you to install that will allow this interface to work with Windows 2000 and Windows XP

I'm no expert but the problem may be down to the transistor being over driven, or latching.. Personally I prefer to use USB interfaces or PIC serial interfaces with FMS on machines running XP or 2K.

yeah thats what i thought and have played around with afew other bits, i just went out and bought a PIc bassed one its not worth the stuffing around,
