A FOAM FLYER UNLIKE ANY OTHER

R/C’s first foam park flyer with retracts and flaps is sure to generate a buzz. Ultrafly’s replica of the P-51 Mustang is very scale-like in both looks and performance, and is available in two versions. One comes un-powered and non-painted, the other is pre-painted in silver and includes a FRIO brushless power plant — cutting final assembly and finishing to just a few hours.

In addition to aileron, elevator and rudder control, this foam aircraft offers retractable landing gear as standard equipment — as well as all the hardware and instructions for installing working flaps. Vacu-formed parts such as the gun mounts, exhaust stacks, canopy and cowl add realistic scale touches without extra work. Decals included with both versions allow modelers to recreate the classic military trim scheme.

The 2-piece retracts are easy to install, and allow for more realistic runway takeoffs and touchdowns, as opposed to the hand launches and belly landings of other foam park flyers. The high-quality linkage hardware that’s included is very durable and resistant to flexing. A pre-molded motor mount allows for quick and easy mounting directly to the plane’s firewall. A prop, adapter and scale spinner are all included.

Has anybody else purchased this model yet? I like the advantages this model has.

I received my Ultra fly P-51 Mustang today.

I will get down and start a build thread if anyone is interested?

initial impression - very good looking kit - thought the packaging is hopeless as heavy parts like motors are left to knock around unsecured damaging finishes :( and the box can easly be squashed which caused further damage.

you will see the damage cause by the lack of care in packing when I put up images.
