I'm opting to leave bulkheads and crutch solid instead of drilling holes to lighten them. I'm hard on airplanes. Well, actually the ground is hard on airplanes and I'm especially good at introducing them to the ground in a hurry. :D

Plan for servos is to mount them on either side of the fuselage crutch. Rx and batteries will also find a home in bays between fuse crutch and bulkheads. At this time I'm planning to run both control rods on top of boom- just simple wire control rods with z bends. Small brass tubes will act as guides.

I'm no expert, which you'll soon find out. Other builders please join thread if you'd like. I hope anyone interested in this lovely old timer will learn from my mistakes. :D

I used CA to attach bulkheads to fuse spline.
Make sure to trim tabs off 2 rear bulkheads to make room for boom.
I attached boom with wood glue, bulkheads served to get alignment correct. Bottom of boom is angled, make sure you have it in right side up.
I will drill front of boom and glue in a pin for front wing hold down at a later time.
Stringers are 1/8 x 1/16. CA'd in place. Nose will be filled in later with carved solid balsa.

One note; the rear most bulkhead seems to be shaped so that stringers meet the boom/fuse in a convex curve. Although this is perfectly fine, the original plans show a more concave shape of the rear of the fuse. To achieve a shape closer to the original, I decided to slightly reshape the rear most bulkead profile.
