Looks real cool but isn't that overkill?
it already wheelies like mad so why does it need more power?

Nope, and I will never own it, or any other Traxxas product again...(unless
for resell to some other sucker)
I don't think I would run the 3.3 motor with a standard T-Maxx
transmission...
I forsee many a stripped cheap PLASTIC internal gears and stripped diff
gears and wrung PLASTIC axles to those who slap a 3.3 on their T.......
Probably why they use the Revo style transmission with the new 3.3 T-Maxx
Truck ( i.e. T-Revo) (which isn't much better unless they updated the
internal clutch...which will snub under load and then not shift proper)
Yeah boy, Traxxas quality buddy! Have fun running back and forth to the
hobby shop for replacement parts!

I'm keen to get the wheelie bar so I can mount it on my E-maxx (if I haven't
sold it beforehand :)

Allthough it does look totally flimsy compared to the Savage one (which btw,
is still as good as new! and its been kaned!) which is typical of Traxxas
vs HPI...

Bugger it, Mini Zilla is next :)

Nope, I can't budget one in 'cause I wasted all my extra cash and more on
replacing Rustler and T-Maxx parts years ago! =)
(Still in recovery!)

It's also always easy to spot the manufacturers' who are clueless to build
quality, and simply pass along their problems and blame them on amateurs!

What a great reply, so informative, helpful and on topic.

Rode this reply is the reason you should by a Traxxas 3.3 and just disregard
what everyone else has said because they are all amateurs.

I think I finnaly get this group! No need to ever post anything again.
Whatever your question or comment is, the answer is Savage. What kind
of nitro should I use? Savage! What's better, Ti or Alum? Savage! Why
do my balls itch? SAVAGE!!!!!!!!

Now you're getting it :D Except Ti is better than Alum ;-) My Sav is made
of it. It's shame really in some ways that we do all happen to have
Savages, the debates are often quite lame :)

How can I get more fiber in my diet. Savage.

It's pure mathematics dude. The best and most popular trucks are owned by
more people hence a higher proportion of people on forums such as these will
have them. Given that it's a great truck people will speak highly of them.

Just about everyone on this group who has a Savage has at one point owned a
T-Maxx or other Traxxas product. If you want to talk about unbiased there
ya go. They have owned both and rate the Savage as being better. What you
consider to be bias is actually the closest to the truth you're going to
get.

Yes, it's big, loud, heavy and handles like a battleship, but it's fast,
powerful and indestructible. I was running with my bud yesterday, he was
driving his T-Maxx with freshly rebuilt WASP .18. We were playing "tag."
As long as he was zigging and zagging I couldn't catch him as the Maxx will
outmanouver a Savage any day of the week. As soon as he hit an open space
and drove straight I could run him down like he was standing still. I was
also pulling 10' jumps yesterday with my Savage without a thought as to
hurting it. He refused to hit the ramp as everytime he does, he breaks
something.

blah blah blah

jesus, another Keyboard Commando.

Sorry kid-- come back when you grow up. Traxxas is good, yes-- but they
don't have some sort of Super Special Magic Motor. It's all weight,
gers, and motor. Therefore, not quite the world beater you think..

[and yes, I'm a HUGE fan of Traxxas. But I'm also not a huge fan of
such juvenille goings-on]

His "website" is just a few links, and the Swami page to which he refers
doesn't have his Rustler listed on the 60mph club as stated. I ran with a
Rustler this past w/e with my Sav, and with my 9+ gallon stock motor and
gearing I was still killing it. :-)
