I need some links to online stores that sell the D-47 in the US. Anyone know of any?

Can't tell you about their service, never ordered from them, yet.

I have done a few orders from them.

Twice they have "substituted" other items on me when out of stock on something. I was NOT happy about that.

Other than that - the D47's are ok servos.

I'm still trying to decide on future servo purchases...Are the D4.7 better than HS-50's or the Futaba S3110 or 3111's?

Thanks,
Brad

When it comes to torque, speed, precision, resolution, and a slop free gear train you can't beat the Futaba 3110, or the Airtronics 94091, but you do pay a slight weight penalty, however you can lighten these servos up by several grams with replacing the servo wire with thinner wire, and direct soldering to the RX. You can also leave the bottom case off and sand the rest of the case down. The Airtronics are 9grams out of the box, but by the time I get done with them they are about 5.5grams. Still a bit heavy, but you make up for it in what you gain in torque, speed, and precision. I have not yet used the Dymond 4.7g servo. The Specs look ok, but kinda hard to find in the U.S.

They're easy to find:

I've ordered servos from Dymond several times, no problems at all. I've never owned the 4.7's, but I've seen them in action and I was impressed.

Thanx. I am currently using 3110 and 3108 and really like them. I removed the bottom, sanded off the "ears", replaced the wires, but I have no idea of how much they weigh now. I was thinking on getting the dyamonds because of the weight.

On a related note, is the D3.7 worthwhile, and how is Dymond quality overall?

I have used the D 4.7's for about a year now with no problems. They center great, super smooth, and fast.

Some of the other D series servos are just the same servos that already exist in the market with just a different sticker. The 4.7's are far superior to any of the other servos that they offer.

I use the 4.7 and really like them. I have used just about every micro servo out there and these are the best I have ever used. The resolution, centering and power are unmatched by anything else I have ever used. I used 4 of them in the wing of a Kyosho 180 and have really abused them. I have not had one problem out of them in almost 2 years.
The LHS has 4 or 5 instock right now so let me know if you need them and I will get the phone number for you. He will ship them out if needed.

The servo called Dymond D47 is sold under several different names like:

Futaba FS31
Ripmax P-SD100
Pilot S1108
Microservo M47

Also the Dymond D60 is sold under other names like Futaba FS40.

BTW also my opinion is that this 4,7g servo is best in market nowadays.

Our lives would be so much simpler if manufacturers would end this practice of OEMing an Asian factory's wares and giving them arbitrary names. Of course, that'll never happen. Just a dream.

I believe Polks Hobbies carries them - a friend bought a few from them some months ago.

I tried to find a link, but the Polks Hobby website is hopelessly disorganized and I couldn't find anything. Even a Google search of the Polks Hobby website ( http://www.polkshobby.com ) turned up nothing. Perhaps you could give them a call - the servos are small and black, and the servo arms are a distinctive saffron yellow.

I agree with all the other good comments about the D47's - they are the best small servo I've found yet.

As was previously mentioned, perhaps the Dymond D47s are available under a different name.

When FMA discontinued the PS-20, I bought some HES-2003s from Radical RC. On the surface, they look identical.

Tom

Nobody tried the D3.7? Would love a report on these, for slowflyers or micros.
