Hi All,
I have a GWS PG-03 and I want to use it for calculating an angular rate. I know that this gyro utilize a murata JPN 03JA 1N3 sensor whose output voltage is proportional to angular rate. But I cannot open it so I want to know how is possible to calculate angular rate from PG-03 output ppm signal. Please, help me!!

I don't know if it answers your question, but the pg-03 doesn't have any output with no input. So I would say if you just feed a constant pulse in and compare that to the pulse out it may be possible. I would rather just open the case though. Just pry it open. 4 little clips are the only thing holding it.

I decased mine on one of my micro helis, like he said above - just four little plastic tabs.....

The output is proportional to the angular rate with the neutral around 1.5ms. Whether it is linear, you'll have to tell us.
