Many of you folk recommend Stabilit Express for joining wood to ABS etc. I bought a pack the other day but I can only find instructions in German!
Can anyone tell me the correct proportions for mixing, grab time, cure time etc? The pack includes a small measuring spoon.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

did a bit o'searching...and not finding. seems to have a pot time of about 10 minutes(provided its not hot, and out of direct sunlight) full hard in 20 min(full strength in an hour or so). would guess that one measures out a qty of powder then add resin to to make a puttylike mixture (something like microballoons perhaps?) hth
not related but did find an amusing bit

30 grams kit:
one cup full of glue (to the round mark) + one spoon powder
80 grams kit:
mixing board with 3 sizes of cups
small cup - 1 spoon, medium cup - 3 spoons, large cup - 5 spoons of powder
put the powder slowly, stir mix, add, mix.....
make even mixture
apply immediately in 10 minutes
when the mixture gets milky and dull looking, stop using and do not move parts
fix for 1 hour to get stick & cure (if no force or weight, 30 minutes will be OK)
if you like to clean or shape, can be done after 20 minutes (be careful not to move the parts)
after first cure time of 1 hour, it is much easy to cut, sand, shape - next day = rock solid !
generally, I used half cup glue + half spoon powder to have better control, can be applicable as layers without waiting the full cure time
making tests and sample fix will reduce the risk
I cleaned up the cup and the tools before 20 minutes by wiping with tissue
good luck, you will like it

A big thank you to all those who replied in the Forum and by Private Message. I now have the info. I was seeking and will experiment.
This is a truly helpful, worldwide forum.

Why do people reply in PM instead of posting in the forum for all to see and benefit?
I notice this a lot in many forums.

I cannot speak for other folk or other Fora, however, in this case I can tell you that I had a PM from a guy who was offering me a translation service (we have corresponded before) and - presumably - he was not prepared to make such an offer on an open Forum because he could become deluged with requests.

That makes sense.
Posting the translated instructions would have also made sense imho. ;)

Had he translated the instructions for me I would have agreed with you. However, as I had gleaned the information I required I did not ask him to do the translation. It does not exist, therefore, I could not publish it.
All the mixing and curing time info is further back in this thread.

I wasn't referring to you Roger, but instead the fellow who offered the translation.
However, this is now 'beating a dead horse'.

Ok, mail me the instructions and I'll translate them.
