I downloaded the G3 demo, but it will not run on my PC! I am getting a texture (?) error.

Well I finally looked at the G3 compatible video card list, and guess what! my NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 isn't supported!

What would be a good choice for a replacement video card to run G3 nice and fast? My current video card is AGP and I have an 19" LCD screen, so I want to be able to run G3 at a high resolution and frame rate.

Thanks for any suggestions.

EVGA and BGF both produce AGP 6600, 6800 and 7800 video cards if you are looking for some of the latest Nvidia based cards. Recently got an eVGA 6800 from Tiger Direct. Thing is though, you need to make sure that your AGP slot and motherboard can support these newer cards. AGP will probably be gone by years end, so it also might be a time to just get a new computer or update with motherboard, memory, video card, etc..

Drats! That is what I was thinking...time for a new PC!!! My birthday is coming up! I will make sure the video is on the supported G3 list.

Thanks for the reply!

Buy a new video card. Seriously. The Riva is not DX9 compatible so you are mostly kippered. You could try emulating DX9 - download the DirectX 9.0c drivers, but that card is old. Here's a decent card for under $100 CAD shipped to you: http://www.memoryexpress.com/index.php?PageTag=&page=file&memx_menu=EmbedProductDetail.php&DisplayProductID=4900&SID=

No worries. Watch carefully at Future Shop etc. since they might have something at least as good for less. Is there a Circuit City in the 'Loop yet?
