Does someone know how to use G2 controller (instead of conventional radio) with Reflex XTR? I have both and prefer running XTR. However, I dislike plug in and out my transmitter everytime. If I can run XTR using G2 controller, it will be perfect!

I am also interested in this. I want to buy XTR, and use my G3 transmitter.

I have managed to get my G3 transmitter working with AFPD - I just plugged in the AFPD cable (I bought the Futaba 'newer style' version). Now AFPD is seeing the G3 transmitter as Joystick #1, and I have configured gear, flaps and expo. It's working really well.

Now if I can do that with XTR, I'll buy it.

This question occurs over and over. The short answer is: no.

XTR requires a PPM signal which is used to modulate the RF of a transmitter either it's own or that of a training master. The controllers used with the other sims are simply types of joysticks. The two are not compatible.

Hank is half right ;)

All transmitter to PC interfaces work by reading the PPM signals coming from the transmitter's trainer port and converting them into a serial data stream of a suitable format that the PC can read. The way the data is encoded and sent to the PC is what makes the difference between the interface being recognised as a "Standard Windows Joystic" or a dedicated interface to the software. Its the encryption of this datastream that is the copy protection (among other things) that XTR uses, and means that standard windows joysticks interfaces do not work with XTR.
