First, I'm a beginner. I have an old Tx ("Conquest" FM, FP-T4NBF by Futaba) and I want to know if there is anyway to fly a sim with this Tx by using a RC Tx to PC interface? I can't use the procedure as described in "SimBlaster" because the Tx has no USB or joystick port. It only has a connecting port for the Batt charger. By Sailplane

There's been loads of discussion on this forum regarding the modification of a transmitter without a "buddy" or "trainer" socket. In theory its possible to tap the PPM signal before it is modulated, but with out a schematic of your TX it will be a nightmare to do. Probably cheaper to pick up an old Skysport 4 or 6 that already has the 6 pin socket fitted and use that

It has the 6 pin trainer port in the back. I know for sure.

Thanks Malc C. I'm so new to this game, that I completely missed the 6 hole port on the back of Tx.

Thanks aeropal. You are correct..., there is a 6 hole connector in the back of Tx. My learning curve is still flat in this new hobby of mine.

No problems,

Any of the RC USB-PC interfaces that emulate a standard windows joystick will work. Make sure you get one with a 6-pin DIN plug (most Futaba's use this format, its only the newer 7c and 9c that have square plugs), and simply connect it between the TX's trainer port and any USB port on the PC.

Do a search on Yahoo or Google for RC USB interface and you'll come across several suppliers. If you get stuck post again and you'll be given loads of recommendations.
