I want to put one in my RC Surfer and I haven't been able to completely waterproof the hatch all the time. Please let me know if you have one.

Currently it has a brushed motor in it but I have been thinking about a brushless.

It came with a hitec pistol grip TX if that makes any difference.

I am into electric planes and helis and don't know much about boats. Advice would be appreciated also.

It runs on 6 sub-C packs. Not sure of the amp draw.

Oh yah, inexpensive would be nice...

Thanks, Joe

K.R. joye- sorry for not getting back with you sooner. It looks like that is only "splashproof". Since I have yet to be fully successful at keeping water out of the hull I don't want to risk an expensive ESC. Thanks, Joe

The Astros are about as waterproof as your going to get for an entry level marine brushed controller. After you blow a few of the cheaper esc's you may find the Astro wasn't such a bad deal at all. Good luck with your boat.
