We are working on a alvin beal lobster boat built in 1974. The boat had sustained fresh water damage to the garboard plank and the one above from bow to mid ship. Also some deck damage due to excesive sun expose from where it was sitting for 32 years! The inside of the boat looks to be tight. Just needs a a little washing. Excellent chraftmanship if i may say so! In my opinion the master. :D Getting it ready for John Sawyer, he will be motorizing it to race july 1st in the 60 and over class.( what a monster! )

Very neat model! looks like the same problem areas and solutions found on 1:1 wood boats! :)

Planked with fasteners wow thats scale :cool:
What kind of power system is going in there ? There are some new large brushless that look good for full figured gal like you have :)

we dont no the power going in this one. dosent belong to us just in for repair.the owner john did tell me it will be racing.it will need BIG power.

Man, all of these lobster boat models are NICE! I really like the way they are constructed! They seem quite substantial! :)

This is an old thread! What a nice boat! Did you ever finish the restoration on it?
