Coming to Melbourne...

G'day all,

I'm coming to Melbourne for about 2 months for work and I'm wondering if I could go fly somewhere, and also a good place to buy some RC stuffs.

I fly mostly giant scale 3D aerobats, and electric aerobats as well.

Where will you be staying? There's a couple of Hobby shops in the city. One on Lonsdale st and another on Flinders St (Hearns). Just outside of the city, there's Hawthorn hobby on Burwood Rd and Roj's Hobbies in Fairfield. Look them up...

FYI...I get a lot of my electric gear from Roj's.

As for flying, there's a large oval (Princes Park) just outside the city. I've seen someone post that they fly their electric there, although I've not done it myself.

Club wise, the closest to the city I know of is Doncaster. Maybe someone from the club can reply.
