Pilots:
You can now register online for this event. Just go to our Pilot Registration Page (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/registration/) and submit the form.

Why Register Early? It's a huge time-saver!
You avoid standing in line to register at the event.
Your planes will already be registered, saving you even more time.
We'll have your packet ready and waiting for you when you arrive.

Less time standing in line -- more time to schmooze and fly. What could be better?

And remember -- there is no landing fee for IMAA pilots!

In addition to pre-registering (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/registration/) for the event (saving you precious flying time when you arrive), don't forget to make hotel reservations now!

The Best Western is the official hotel sponsor of the Thistledown Flyers, and they are offering special rates for participants. Phone: 419-599-0850 Fax: 419-592-0431. Ask for Paul and mention Thistledown Flyers for a special rate.

The Best Western is located only a few minutes from Thistledown Field -- super convenient! A map and directions (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/events/) are on our web site.

Jeff had mentioned that it would be fun to have this event. The demolition derby will take place after 5:00 when all the Event flying would be over. I am going to provide a prize to the Survivor of the demolition derby.

Just a reminder -- if you're going to fly at the Fly-In, be sure to pre-register at our web site (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/registration/). By pre-registering, you'll be flying sooner and spending less time at the registration tent.

Many thanks to Luke's for sponsoring the Foamie Demolition Derby and donating the prize. We at Thistledown Flyers really appreciate it. The Demolition Derby will take place Saturday night at around 9:30-10:00 p.m. under our stadium lights. It should spectacular!

We've established some simple rules.

Planes can weigh a maximum of 20 oz. No high speed planes please -- we're looking for slow-fliers, 3D planes, that sort of thing. If there are sufficient entries, we'll run heats of up to 10 planes at a time, with the survivors moving on to the final.

It's all about having fun and staying safe. So keep it sturdy but keep it light!

Update from Thistledown Field -- Wednesday, September 6

Motor homes are pulling in, canopies are going up, the weather is great, and planes are already in the air! Pilots began arriving on Labor Day, and it looks like it's going to be a fantastic event.

There's plenty of room for everyone, so come to Napoleon, Ohio, for a great weekend of fun and flying. Click here (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/events/) for complete details about this great event. Pilots -- you can register when you arrive, or better yet, you can register online (http://www.thistledownflyers.com/registration/). It only takes a couple of minutes.
