How is the Lazy Days working out? Is it a good flyer? I wound up with a Sparky instead of ordering the Lazy Days. Just wondering out loud..... :)

I'm enjoying the Lazy Days. I've gotten some significant stick time recently and am very happy with her. She has a wicked tip stall but it only happens with a little throttle on which I don't understand. I've got her trimmed nicely and she is very gentle. Loops from level are easy even with the stock 370 brushed motor.
I just think balsa flies better. This is my first all balsa, no foam, no rubber bands plane. The design looks old timer and the construction is very old fashioned and very rugged. When I land at the North Discovery site she always flips over due the grass and small wheels. No damage yet.
I'm looking forward to flying in some wind to test the flight envelope. One review and another owner post says she will handle 10 - 15 mph winds. I'd like to find out.
My build and initial flight comments are in the thread at

There are several photos there too.
I'm looking forward to seeing Sparky fly.

I'll go you one better, why don't you come to New Hope, bring a few buddies, and fly the Sparky. I'd like to meet some of you fellows. I fly in a co-workers backyard field in New Hope. It's an excellent spot to fly as he keeps it mowed close enough to putt on. Easy to find to. I'd like to arrange a flying session for a few folks from this forum. Maybe bring a few Slow Sticks and some streamers for a little fun! :D After that first meeting, I'd like to arrange another fly day, and feed everyone some grilled chicken and do some more flying. Can't beat flying, food , and friends all in the same day! :)

As a fellow Renegade and also a fellow "Jim", I hope that happens sooner rather than later and that I can come!
The Renegades I've met and flown with and eaten with at Adtran have been a great gang and a lot of fun and helpful advice.

I hope to plan a fly day real soon. Then, when the weather pattern becomes a bit better, plan another day for the chicken cooking! :D I may repost this idea in a thread of it's own.
