thanks Mr lin!

all head parts machined on a lathe by a good friend. (Carl Defilippo) A gws bb gearbox would probably work just as well to keep it simple. aeroshaft(carbon) was trimmed a few inches as not to make the gyro top heavy. The blades will fit nicley between the tail.. and will not hit on on violent maneuvers or crashes.

How are you going to tilt it sideways or is there also going to be a wing?

I think it needs something to tilt the rotor sideways - some sort of "aileron function" in other words. Otherwise there might be problems on turning. A small wing with dihedral would help.

look in my gallery for some videos of a good friends fixed head gyro. Flys great. In our experience Tilt head sometimes takes the ease of flight and the fun out of a gyro.

Indeed those models seem to fly very well! I am looking forward to see the flight video of your autogyro e-starter. Maybe I have been too conservative about autogyros with fixed heads :)

Does your blades have some flex up and down? Can you give dimensions for your rotor system?

yep about a 15 degree flex up and down.. blades are 2" wide by 15 3/4" rounded on edges with 2 grams of lead on the tips tempered atachment point with CA to ommit need for dowel support. about a 1/32" cardboard shim under the rear of the blades to aid startup. test flight tonight if there is a break in the rain!
