where are good places to buy carbon fiber rods?

I know a few local hobbie stores have them. But what about bunnings/dick smith etc.

also, is carbon fibre the best way to go? has anyone tried different materials?

bunnings or DSE is a definately the wrong place to be looking. Ive seen people use bamboo skewers though. Their pretty cheap and tough.

The CF rods ive bought from a few places. In melbourne the store in dandenong is very reasonably priced, i got 3mm tube for $2.99, while in perth where i live its all in the 5+ range for the same 3mm tube.

What about tapered booms and 2mm shafts etc?

In short, is there a general-supply shop that I can get all my CF from?

Right now I'll never need tow again as I have 1000m of it :D, but things like 2~3mm CF rod and 6~7mm tubes I need for my DLG'ing.

Paul.

Send a PM to "Salto". He sells a great of range of CF, budget and premium, along with kits such as the awesome "Toccata (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275295)" in my avatar.
