Hey guys!

I have spent the morning searching ( unsuccessfully ) for the answer to the following question.

I'm looking for the point on the Blade CP 4in1 board which could be used to control an ESC for the tail rotor. I found many examples of simply taping into the channel 3 and 4 outputs from the RX, but I can't find examples of taping the output of the gyro.

I did find an example for the ESKY 3in1 but it is not similar in board layout.

I do not have a scope so I won't be able to contribute test info. However, my brother has access to a scope and if I was armed with the right questions to ask him or examples of what to look for I could perhaps track this down with his help. At which point details could be posted for all to share.

Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Steve

My gut feeling is that the output of the gyro would be a tail motor drive signal, not a common servo PWM pulse that an ESC would need. But I could be wrong and it would definately be convenient if one is in there somewhere.

Have you seen Tom-in-Cincy's Blade brushless conversion discussion? He converted his T/R to brushless using my PowerZone board. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434477

Yes, I did read Tom-in-Cincy's thread using your module, lots of good info there. I would hate to spend money going down the wrong path to determine that I want a different gyro. So far I'm not very impressed with the performance of the tail/gyro with the existing brushed motor. I would like to see the gyro's abilities with a direct drive brushless setup before deciding to switch to a GY240 or 401. I will keep your PowerZone board in mind though.

Thanks,
Steve
