I got my contoller today along with the cord to hook it up. I did a search for the hardware so I can use it and the comp couldnt find it. I tried downloading some software for the controller off this site
http://www.geocities.com/shaul_ei/Download2.html
but the jr. application didnt work much. When I opened fms up to calibrate it the bars were jumping all over the place and going crazy. Any one know of any other downloads that might work or if I did anything wrong? I followed the instructions on the site. Good news is the controller and reciever work great but I was really looking forward to using the contoller with the sim :( Thanks

Treat yourself to a decent interface (USB or serial) that emulates a standard windows joystick. There are loads of different options available, and doing a search for "rc to USB interface" on Yahoo or Google will bring up loads of products.

Using the sound card is not the ideal option, especially as some transmitters output the PPM signal from the trainer port at the same voltage as the TX pack, and sticking 9.6v into a mic socket on a sound card that tends to operate at voltages a LOT smaller is not really advisable. If the internal buffering components on the soundcard break down through these excessive voltages you could end up frying both the transmitter and the PC.

No I was meaning a "proper" USB transmitter interface not an adaptor. Not sure where abouts in the world you are, but there are commercial manufactures both sides of the pond, just do a search on the net for USB - RC interface. Or if you have the ability you can build you own (as I did) as the schematic and firmware for a PIC micro is readily avialble on the web. If you really get stuck I can build one for you, just drop me an e-mail and I'll advise you on costs etc.
