Anyone here heard of this?
"A single man in his early 30's was killed yesterday in Tokyo when his composite model "known as the Blade" struck him in the stomach whilst doing speeds in excess of 200mph causing extensive internal bleeding , by the time the paramedics had arrived to the scene it was too late to revive the man , witnesses and fellow model enthusiests who seen the incident commented that the man was , dynamicially soaring the model when tragedy struck. one hobbyist commented "he was on his 12th circuit , when he experienced some flutter in the ailerons , when trying to land the model the flaps didnt activate properly' he moved to the side to avoid being hit , but the model spun off the grass hitting him above the right leg knocking him to the ground , one of the spectators called for the ambulance " he said that it was simply a mis-fortunatate event , that no-one could forsee.
apon investigating the model , the police and another member of the club states that during the flight a servo cable within the model had rubbed apon a pushrod causing failure of the ailerons ,"if he had only seen this prior to the flight" he would have still been alive..
the man is yet to be named , but in the local community his presence will be missed.. "
