Removing Optic 6 Antenna??

I've turned and turned my Optic 6 antenna (counter clockwise) and nothing happens. Is there a secret to removing the antenna? Will a rubber duck antenna fit the Optic 6?

I think you just need to keep turning. It will take a LOT of turns, but eventually, you will be able to just slide it out of the case. Turn a bit more, periodically pulling gently to see if it is loose yet.
