FMS Works Others Don't

I downloaded FMS and it works great. Figured I try a "better" one and downloaded RC Flight Sim and see what that was like before buying it. Didn't work. I tried to calibrate, no affect.

Then I tried PreFlight and it also wasn't reading my contols. I checked the config on the joystick and all looked OK.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem and would like to provide a solution? Not sure why it would work on one program but not the others.

I have an Optic 6 Tx and windows XP.
