Can I have some suggestion for which servos to put into my HPI Savage?
My steering servo has stoped working and I don't know anything about
servo's. Thanks for the help.

For steering: Hobbico CS-70MG/Hitech 645MG or equivalent (metal geared,
100oz/in or better @ 4.8V/6.0V)
For throttle/brake: Hobbico CS-64/Hitec 635 or equivalent (70oz/in or better
@ 4.8V)
You want a meaty servo on steering and a slightly less meaty but high speed
servo on throttle/brake. On steering, I'm running a Hobbico CS-70MG (metal
geared) @ 6.0V which gives me 133.3oz/in @ .20 seconds. I'm running a
Hobbico CS-64 servo on throttle/brake @ 6.0V which gives me 83oz/in @ 0.15
seconds. With this setup, steering response is quick and powerful and
throttle/brake are just as good. Instant throttle response and great
braking power.
I'm a huge fan of Hobbico servos as I haven't had one break on me yet.

Never tried a Hobbico - I use Hitec 645 on the steering, and 625 on the
throttle. I've bust a few Hitecs before though - next time I'll be getting
something better I think. Good servos when they work, and it's probably
just that I bash too hard for them :D

I had the 645MG on my savage and it couldnt turn my big joe tires so i
up graded to
the hitec HSC5998TG the cost is a little pricy but well worth it. my
steering is right on the money now. good luck.....

I run a 6v hump pack, and the Ofna cam steering servo saver, and 40 series
Velocity 6s with Dirt Hawg tyres, and they just about turn when it's
stationary - but it could probably do with a little more beef. I've heard
very good things about Sanwa servos.

I have the 16/48 and it works great with the K4.6. 14/52 with an OS 30 will
be uncontrollable for wheelies :D

Ya know, I just read RCCA's dyno review of the OS .30 and it's really not
all that great spec-wise. It peaked at 2.72HP and 35,000 RPM. Hell, my
$129.99 (HALF the price of the new OS) Sportwerks .26 puts out more HP
(2.75) and almost as many RPM (33,000) as the new OS motor. With all the
3.5HP+ .30's and .32's out there, why the hell did OS make such a wimpy
motor?
If you read the results of all the national races, both on-road and off,
very few if any of the folks making it to the A-Mains are running OS motors.
I know they have a great reputation, but they're comparitively overpriced,
underpowered compared to their competitors and are rarely seen in the
competitive environment.

Heh, didn't twig that before...
But yea, judging by the crannkcase branding and the side exit pipe...
Pro 70 in a Savage? Details :D
