My engine got it's 1-way dirty so I had to open up the engine to clean
it out. That wasn't a problem but now that I've put it back together,
the piston is stuck at top centre. It can't move AT ALL, even the
flywheel can't be turned.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!

Thanks :-)

The one-way is on the outside of the engine friend. Why the hell did you
pull the motor apart to clean the one-way? Methinks there is more to this
story..............

Before you try to turn the engine any more remove both the exhaust and head
(heatsink and button).

Have a good look inside and see if anything is jammed between the piston and
liner by looking down into the engine from on top and into the exhaust port,
also remove the backplate and check the condition of the rear bearing and
for any debris around the bottom of the engine.

If all clear then dribble some fuel above and below the piston to lubricate
it, leave the head, exhaust and backplate off then using a pair of plumbers
pliers on the flywheel turn it gently AWAY from TDC. Pull the liner out and
have a good look down the sides for any scratches or lips on the top or
bottom of the aluminium piston.

Replace anything that appears to have been damaged and give the engine a
good clean to remove anything that might have go into it and caused the
damage.

I think he may have put the oneway in backwards, and the
pull-start/rotostart wont move, so he thinks the piston is stuck.

I'll be following suit shortly as ol' blue is starting to rust (again) in
places I've already cut-out and replaced! Drivetrain shows no signs of wear
after 187,xxx miles (differential bearings did puke a few months back
though!) so I'm gunna drive her till she falls apart on me. I'll give her 2
more years on the street with regular use, then retire her and maybe
rebuild/restore once I get a new truck. I'm really keen on the 1500HD's
these days...........

Can't beat the power and sound of an 8. Everything comes with a
price.............you've gotta be paying close to a buck a liter up there
huh?

Yes indeed, they do make a dent in the bank account rather quickly! I have
two nitros, an HPI Savage and a Sportwerks Mayhem ST in the 1/8 department.
In the 1:1 department I'm still driving ol' blue, 88' GMC C1500, 305/TH400.
I must admit, as much as I like wrenching 1:1 stuff, there is something to
be said for "wrenching" 1/8 stuff on the workbench whilst sitting on your
duff drinking a beer.

Rampage is a Kyosho 1/10 buggy right? I'm guessing NMT is Nitro Monster
Truck (HPI)? I've sent you an e-mail with some pics of my toys........

So this is where you've been spending all of your time. Aren't you supposed
to be helping us hold our rustbuckets together? ;) Yeah about that....
Jimmy (C'mon man!) has sorta been replaced with an ugh... Jeep. It had to
happen, Jimmy was rusting out around me. I miss the low end torque of that
4.3L but LOVE the powerband of this 5.2L Grand Cherokee. Sure is thirsty
though.

Not too bad... New house, new (to me) truck, new floors in the GTA, same ol'
job... Finally have some time to fire up the R/Cs. After cleaning out the
dried up ATF (after-run oil) from the carbs my Rampage and NMT fired up and
settled into a nice idle for the first time in over two years. Now all we
need is a little warmer weather. Bloody cold today.

Looks like you've picked up the nitro bug pretty quickly. Expensive little
runts aren't they? What are you running these days? Fullsize and R/C. ;)
