Where do you get your wire from? I have seen a bunch of places on-line but I was looking for a local place, Radio shack has some but only 22g,26, and 30g and the insulation seems to be a very low temp....Thanks for any info.....Impact

Try a local electric motor repair shop-- look up electric motors repairing in your yellow pages. I run one and always have small amounts left on 8" reels that we keep to give to school kids for science projects. it's 200 deg C rated coating, and that's rated higher than radio shack I'd bet.

I buy it at a magnet wire store, all they have is wire, shrink tubbing, and other electrical / insulation stuff. I am moving to the Carolinas sometime soon. I could take some with me if you need. They have any wire gauge. They sell as little as 100 grams spools ( around 110 yards of 24 gauge wire) for 10 bucks :)
