G'day all,

Just for laughs / kicks / fame (yes, fame!) I put up a webcam in my workshop just to show you all that I really don't do a lot :)

http://www.pldaniels.com/flying/webcam

You don't need any fancy machine, just normal browser, the image will refresh every 30 seconds (it's only a 10K image, it won't kill your network).

Cya... online.

Looks like there is as much going on in your workshop as there is in mine. ;)

I should install a camera in my shop come to think of it. Maybe then someone could have alerted me before I used the standard CA on a depron repair last night.

Is that Nomad under construction?

Regards,

Glenn

Glenn,

Things are a bit quiet in the workshop, mostly because I'm trying to decide what to do. There's a few DLG designs I want to chew out of wood --- but at the same time I need to finish that large plane (1.7m span).

The plane is actually the PDAP-01, an aerial photography plane. It's based roughly on the BN2 Islander with a few tweaks here and there to make it more suitable for AP work.

Woodsy,

You've caught me out --- it's a staged set *the shame*. Actually, I cleaned up the room about 72 hours ago but I've subsequently been a bit busy to do any modelling work. Trying to get this AerialPhotography plane finished but I keep stalling.

Biggest issue I have right now is how to mount the twin outrunner brushless motors onto the wings. Alas the motors didn't come with any suitable mounts, they also only came with 8mm hub prop adaptors *sigh*. I've got some 2mm thick x 40mm wide aluminium which I'm going to try and coax into the job.

I couldn't do it.... too much pressure to perform.

Besides, no audio, what fun is it to get caught making airplane noises and 'flying' half finished fuselages around if no one can hear it?

Go the Dolphin!

Oh dear o dear, if there was live streaming and audio, it'd be rather "interesting". I think I'll wait to see if there's any interest in the whole "live building" sessions before going too far.

Maybe I'll need to upgrade my webcam too, then I can get a full studio and a producer and and... and a really nice female assistant (wife?)

I'll try emulate my TV hero, Al Bun... no, wait, Tim the Toolman ;)

Hey, I requested a chicken dance but I never saw any dancing. :(

Anton,

Aw gosh, I've not gotten to that part yet. The chicken dance requires that I burn myself or cut myself... etc, something painful/dramatic :D

I sort of burned myself this evening as I was soldering a couple of components together.

I see I'm going to have to start hiring some ladies to help me out here :)

I was working on a wind-powered generator tonight.

Owen,

I've been moving offices the last two days - haven't had any time to get into the workshop and work on the new models that I'm designing.

... by the time you read this, I'll have restarted the Web cam and you can see what a mess it is :(
