yes i found a two stator brushless motor is this even possible. it runs off of 12v and uses .015ma. is this cool or what. and for those wanting to know it is a cooling fan off of a cdrom drive. the drive was acient. and to top all of this it has a ball bearing in it. yes just one for some reason. maybe because of its size.

so is it going to use a regular esc or a brushless esc? I would think the electronics have the esc in it but with only two wires coming off of it, how does it work.... hmmmm... still cool though.

I suppose it is cool due to it's tiny size, but it is mostly worthless. With two coils, it is going to be a two phase BL. All comercial controllers are three phase. The on board controller is a single speed controller designed to run on 12v, or 5v, and cant be throttled. the only hope for it is using the rotor with new mags, and creating three, six, or nine coils. Or doing your own DIY controller for two phase.

I know, if it runs off of 5v you can hook it up as a cooling motor for your main motor :) like we do with our rc helis... probably not worth doing as the smaller electronics don't get very hot it seems. would make a cool fan for our larger escs though.
