Hi
where do people fly electric foamies in Tel Aviv like 3dx etc,
I have some foam that I brought with me from the USA , but does anyone know where to get depron or other foam in Israel ?
Is the cliff on Tel Baruch open for slope RC sailplanes ?
thanks

Hi Aviv!
For flying sites, have a look here (http://www.geocities.com/rene_wallage/Sites.html).
Most Fridays 14:00 onwards you will find a friendly bunch at Ga'ash.
Now and then some shops sell foam and/or depron, but you have to be lucky.
Tel Baruh is definitely a good flyable cliff. It's not one of the most popular one's because of the perceived difficult access, although I have had no problems getting there with my own (regular family) car. Landing is a bit tricky because of the strong and high turbulence at the landing threshold.
For sloping, Bat Yam or the Ga'ash cliff would be better.

רונדופלסט in holon makes an extruded foam called "rondopan" that weighs 35Kg per cubic meter and is very nice to work with. i think the thinnest it comes is 2cm but it cuts very nicely with a hot wire into thinner sheets.
i don't know about today but in my past dealings with them the factory would only sell a minimum of one pack which would be 20 sheets of 120x60x3cm material and cost around 200nis. it also comes in thicknesses up to 8cm which is very nice for carving fuselages or whatever.
some building suppliers will sell you single sheets if they have it in stock. one of these places was across the street from dan design center but don't know if they still exist.
and golmat in yakum should have pink foam like the american stuff but it's much softer than the rondo. haven't been there in years so a call might even find the thin fan-fold stuff
