Nice pictures Randy! I need to take a little time with my SS and get it flying again. I need to swap a gearbox out and figure out if my motor is wearing out or my ESC is going bad.

This is my slowstick flying after it snowed in Auburn. This was really cold for a Florida guy who just moved to Auburn.

If these still don't work, the video is at RC Groups/Video Gallery/Airplanes - Electric Videos and the camera photo is in Renegades? What's Under Your Tree, page 2.
These were shot on New Year's eve using the Aiptek MPVR from Mrs. Santa taped onto a bicycle helmet. Quick and dirty mount but it worked better than expected. The camera is leaning so horizon is not level, but that is easily fixed and not too noticeable for an aircraft video. At a 6 ounce weight, the camera is unobtrusive. There was a bit of tape in front of the lens in the Cub video. I got it out of the field of view for the SS, but the camera was then mostly looking too low in that video. In the Cub video especially, I was surprised at how well it followed the aircraft since it was just pointed wherever I pointed my head.
I flew close to myself at times, but was wearing a helmet, baseball cap, sunglasses with side shields, and wearing insulated coveralls over blue jeans. Also I was flying very light and slow planes and I was the pilot. No one else was on the field. So in a collision the only damage would have been to the aircraft. That morning, my college-age son was sleeping in and my normal photographer was home fixing breakfast so the helmetcam was ideal.
Gary, This gave me the idea of a video of a strafing run with a warbird. What do you think?

It might just be me, or there might be a temporary technical problem or something, but at 3:15 AM Tuesday these links are not working for me. Hope it's temporary "rogue electrons" or that you can easily fix the links.
At 6 AM, it's still Error 404: Page not found for me.

Ken, it that the SS I bought from you? If so, it flies nice, but is not quite as "like-new" (despite being years old!) as when I bought it. :)

Jim, thanks for catching this. They did not work for me either. I reposted and they work for me now. I've added the forum name also in case they still are broken. The post looked the same after repasting but they work now.

Jim,
It is not the one I sold you, it was one of the planes from the Auburn University Lab; which is managed.
Glad to hear you like flying the SS. :)

Thanks ghee. They came out much better than I deserved considering I just taped the camera onto a helmet and launched. Maybe beginners luck. The SS inverted stuff did not look so exciting in person. As we all know SlowSticks are almost unbreakable and easily reparied if busted.
The Cub is the sweetest flying airplane of mine and "goes where it is pointed". It won't fly inverted, but it doesn't do a bad Cuban 8 considering no ailerons if you come over the top slow enough.
