G-3 Complaint

Not really a complaint, just used the title to get some attention on something that I find is greatly missing in the G-3. (Soapbox Time).

Is this not the "E-ZONE" where "E" stands for ELECTRIC ? As I understand the founder of this wonderful site is the same person that put the G-3 simulator togeather. In my humble opinion the G-3 lacks electric planes and helicopters big time. Would love to see some "Shockies" or other 3D planes.
While we are at it, how about an INDOOR flying site ? Tis the season you know. Would love to practice flying my new Blade helicopter in a gym or other indoor facility. Once a week we fly in an Armory and the home practice would be invaluable.

Not all of us are into $5,000-$10,000 gas or turbine powered jets. The G-3 has enough fuel driven choppers to re-supply our troops in Iraq.

Agreed! I'll add my vote for both an indoor flying site and more electrics.

While I do agree with you on both of these terms.. I know that one of the add-on packs has a gym in it. Don't know which one it is, but it is in my list (I've added all 5 on). I would like to see more of the indoor sites myself.

I STRONGLY agree with you about the electric planes. I have found a few on the Realflight download site (http://www.realflight.com/swap/g3aircraft.html) but not enough to even begin to quench my thirst. I only fly electric, and made the mistake of getting G3 instead of one of the others. I do like the trainer video's, and that is why I got G3.

I read somewhere that Knife Edge is going to be releasing a set of tools to make models for G3. I don't know when, but I sure wish they would hurry up with it!!! Not to mention fixing the custom paint scheme (or lack there of).

Thanks for the tip. I checked it out and addons 3 has the indoor gym. Addons 5 has a blimp hanger.

That's right, I forgot about the blimp hanger being in there.

I also found this site: http://rcheliace.com/G3%20Photo%20fields.htm. It has an gym that you can download for free. You might check it out. I downloaded it, and it's not to bad, but about the only thing small enough to fly in it is the IFO or the electric ultimate (the ultimate might be too big/I downloaded it from the swap page linked in my earlier post. I had to edit out the smoke on the ultimate to make it look electric).

Want E-power? Convert em'! Dig around in the aircraft edit menu's. Once you learn how, it is easy to convert the fuelies to E-power.
