Anyone know how to turn off the RF on the Futuba FF7/7CAP/7CHP?

I don't want to overheat the RF components while using the Tx on the SIM.

I just remove the tx module.

Do these transmitters have a buddy-box port? If so you can probably power them through it without generating RF.

Thanks for the replies guys. But the Tx does not have a removeable RF module.

The user guide says that in Trainer mode the student Tx RF is automatically turned off. However, it is not entirely clear on how the student mode is set. I believe it is selected by the cable. The cable that came with Reflex works fine but the rate at which the batteries in the Tx is discharging does not indicate to me that the RF is off.

Anyone else with any ideas?

Thanks.

Try this thread and/or search for buddybox.
