ClearView's e-heli H2 profile is very close (currently tweeking myself) and it fully supports the idle-up function on the Tx by mapping your heyboard F1 and F2 keys (FMS does NOT support idle-up). I have been testing this setup with my HB-CP2 with excellent results and have found the interface answers here:

http://www.milehighwings.com/sim_compatibility.htm

The PICs are about 1/2 the cost and compatible with ClearView...

Aleksandra at milehigh has been extremely helpful and the BladeCP and HB-CP2 transmitters are slightly different and interfaces are NOT interchangeable with the PIC-serial anyways, dont know about the USB although I'm sure she could answer that question.

I'm runnin the PIC-serial for the HB-CP2 ccpm Tx with ClearView, $30 for each and it appears just as functional and realistic as reflex or G3 for a fraction of the price:

Stefan at ClearView is currently working on a fine tuned TRex and BladeCP/HB-CP2 profiles for 'soon to be' future release.

Bonza, IMO the issues with PIC serial interfaces are:

1) - RS232 (serial ports) are not always present on modern PC's
2) - Some laptops that do have RS232 serial ports can't provide the power needed from these ports which then causes communication problems
3) - PIC Serial interfaces will only work with software that supports them, which up until the release of Clearview, was just FMS

This is why a lot of people opt for USB interfaces which offer more compatibility with modern PCs and software. And they generally don't cost that much more than the PIC-serial interfaces.

Maybe I'm just lucky? with mine as it works perfectly.

If you dont have a serial port or want to take a chance, order the USB version as they are compatible with ClearView as well....

Although it appears you will need to drop a few extra $$$$.

Or, if you have access to a PIC programmer, building your own is a lot cheaper :)

PIC serial interfaces work well, in fact that was the first interface I built having re-designed one of the schematics found on the web (which failed to work which is why I re-designed it :) ). It's good to see that Stefan has included support for PIC-serial interfaces in Clearview, which, assuming you don't need to use a TX with any other game or sim, would be all you need to get started.

Plus for any who cant get it to work with their PIC Cable, try using it with PPjoy, my TX on ClearView would not work without this programe.
