Im wanting to wind a custom 130 size brushed motor. Right now I have one that spins to 27k @~4.5v but I want to make one that will do at least 42K and not be "hot" as I do not like stacking FET's. Wondering if anyone know how many winds I should have to get in that rpm range. I will be replacing the magnets with neodium counterparts or the magnets out of a crest spinbrush (yeah im cheap). Thanks for any help, not new to r/c but very new to custom motors

If you want more rev you need fewer turns of thicker wire. The # of turns determine the revs per volt or Kv. You could also go with more voltage and the same turns, but either way if the prop is the same the amps will go up too. There is no free lunch.
To increase your revs from 27k to 47 k increase your winds by 42/27 or about 1.75 times.

PlaneCrazee, I think you meant 1.75 times FEWER turns, since you are correct that fewer turns speeds up the motor and is directly proportional as you also show.
