Not if your "thingie" is as sensitive to glue as most

ummm i dont know what its called... a ring or something? anyways I just used white glue and its holding up pretty well..

Another question... Is the magnet wire holder thing supposed to spin the shaft freely or what.. because mine takes a bit of effort (not much) to turn it..

Have a look here for some clarification on magnets, wire and thingies.

Depends.

The can is tapered slightly and the further in you go the the tighter the fit between the stator and the magnets. Additionally the windings may rub the can if they are to tall.

Hmm.. It rotates fine now. I'm worried about the shaft slipping after a couple hours of use since it's highly polished, what do you think?

About your first question, the magnets can touch the botton of the bell if they are long enough. If they are not long enough just glue them lined to the tip of the bell. That will help you to have more room on the front so the bell doesen't scratch the wire.

I have not had the shaft slip unless I crash.
