I live in a two storey house with a large field in the next block and am considering a setup where I can fly a small aircraft entirely by wireless video (watch via large screen TV). The equipment I have is a PCM radio and micro servos. I propose to buy an eyecam extreme and use a Graupner Tipsy as the aircraft as it has polyhedral and looks stable. Any advice re. this combo? (for the record I've flown rc gliders for 15 years and full size gliders for five years).

Thanks

Mart

It sounds like it would be fine. I fly bigger planes that what you're talking about though. You might pose the question at this forum. More fly by video guys there. Be ready for some comments against it too but take it all with a grain of salt.

Sounds good.
If you like it you can always get bigger and better stuff.
Black Widow AV is a good choice for buying equipment.

Sounds to me like all you need is a simulator. If you want to sit in your living room and fly using a big screen TV, what's the difference. Perfect weather all the time too. :)

It'll get worse Mart123. Learn to keep some stuff to yourself. And this is the UAV area where most guys work at autonomous flight :D
